Got back at two this morning and want a thread to specifically thank the following
The players - for getting it done
The Czech citizens, hospitality workers, authorities, plod and security workers who in the face of an unexpected invasion of raucous thousands let us 'play' - it could have been different in another city
To the lads and lasses out there, so many anecdotes, such a giggle, you had to be there to know - There were beers, tears, laughs and hugs a plenty as lads, dads, grandads recognised the moment was a moment of eternity within their family and the wider West Ham collective, fused into a personal legacy
I thank you all, old pals and new friends made

When l got back to the Square after the game you could feel the Czech plod was looking for grief and all the bars were shut,so we fucked off to the Tequila bar and fell outta there about 2.30am.
Great memories as l had 5 days in Prague

It was written in the stars!
Was in Prague last May when we lost to Frankfurt.
Our Son was conceived there, watched the game in our hotel room, really peed me off, who'd have thought a year later...
Our son is now 5 months old, he's our lucky mascot.

I think that's wrong mate
I heard the same, but spoke around and what I heard was that one of ours let off a flair, which an hitherto acceptable but don't take liberties plod, took exception
A robo walked over to retrieve the firework, which was resisted by the plank holding it - briefly, he was disarmed, disabled and nicked in a moment, case closed - we walked through the square just after the alleged incident without impediment and the cleaners were out washing and clearing
All nicking reports through Czech media report an unprovoked hit by the superdooper Ultras on an isolated bar, entirely the fault of Italians, of whom 16x were nicked
And 1x WH, suspect firework boy who failed the polite request to hand it over
Oh and of that 'hit', comments from a female Met plod over there were that the 'Ultras' hit a bar off the square with limited regular supporters within, and ran up the road straight into plod, who funneled them into a shop, sent her outside, shut the door, told them that we (WH) would rip them a new arse if they went properly and then beat the merry shit out of them before tagging and nicking
She said, off the record, their methods are not available to us but are very effective!
Fair play on all counts and to those of us who spotted the spotters and gave out a PDC to let the gutless cunts know, we knew, throughout the trip - plenty of that up the alleys mate

I was told they tear gassed the square Wednesday night.
Was in the white horse a bit, fucking murder getting a beer.

So true, and how delightful that from old, young, all between, Herberts included, embraced the pups and those of real vintage
Did you see the older ladies in their immaculate dresses and silk scarves? I was so proud of our lads, they pitched up bang in the middle of 'likely lads' who offered up seats, ensured they were comfortable and the following dat gave a resounding applause as they left the square to go home
I sometimes despair of this club, but never of the supporter base - it has values that pass on with roots that go back decades

I'll hold my hands up then mate, never saw any of it
We were on it non stop, White Horse and a couple up and all sorts of capers were afoot, bars running out of ale were being served up by a continual supply of offy collections whacked on tables
In fact, overt serving off sale drink would be the mildest of visible 'commercial transaction'
And that's without the larks we were at with the likely lads
